Role Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 BABCP Accredited CBT Therapist to join our 0–18 Children and Young People’s Mental Health Service (CYPMHS) within our Crewe and Winsford clinics. This role is ideal for a CBT therapist who is passionate about delivering high-quality, evidence-based interventions to children, young people and their families.

• Provide specialist assessment, formulation and CBT interventions for young people presenting with a range of emotional and mental health difficulties, including those with complex presentations and associated risk.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the CBT pathway.
• Support waiting list management.
• Provide consultation and supervision to colleagues.
• Play an active role in service development, quality improvement and clinical governance.
• Work collaboratively with a range of professionals across health, education, social care and the voluntary sector to improve outcomes for children and young people.

Qualifications

• BABCP Accreditation as a CBT Therapist.
• Excellent clinical assessment, formulation, risk management and therapeutic skills.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice.
• Compassionate, resilient and highly motivated.

Requirements

• Manage a clinical caseload.
• Develop formulations and treatment plans.
• Undertake risk assessments.
• Work collaboratively with families, schools and partner agencies to support positive outcomes.
