Role Description
Review and code patient records for both inpatients and outpatients.
- Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes.
- Verify CPT-4 codes, DRGs, and APCs.
Qualifications
- Preferred: 1-3 years acute care coding
- Preferred: Associates in Health Information Technology
Requirements
- Required: RHIA, or RHIT, or CCS, or CCA
- Required: Knowledge of anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, pathology of disease, ICD-10 CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT-4
