[Hiring] Collaborating Physician @Icon Health

Role Description

Icon Health is seeking a board-certified Family Medicine physician with fellowship training in Sports Medicine to serve as a collaborating physician for our Advanced Practice Provider team in Florida. This role is intended to support licensing, credentialing, and collaboration requirements under Florida law. The physician must live and practice physically in the state of Florida and be willing to participate in required collaboration activities in a timely, responsive, and partnership-oriented manner.

The collaborating physician will work with Icon Health’s Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners under Icon Health’s Practice Agreement, which defines the medical services APPs are authorized to perform based on their demonstrated competency, education, training, and experience. APP services may include:

• Patient care activities
• Signing appropriate forms
• Supervising medical assistants and care coordinators
• Prescribing medications appropriate to the APP’s level of training, expertise, and applicable law

The collaborating physician is not required to be physically present while APPs provide medical services; however, they must be available by telephone or other electronic means when APPs are providing services, consistent with Florida requirements and Icon Health’s collaboration guidelines.

Qualifications

• Board certified in Family Medicine
• Fellowship trained in Sports Medicine
• Actively licensed and in good standing in Florida
• Physically located and practicing in the state of Florida
• Comfortable serving in a collaborative physician capacity for APPs
• Responsive, organized, and willing to move quickly to support credentialing submissions and CAQH profile updates
• Aligned with Icon Health’s mission to improve orthopedic access, outcomes, and patient experience through a collaborative, value-based care model

Requirements

• Credentialing: CAN NOT be credentialed with Careplus in SE Florida

Work Conditions

• Location: Remote
• Compensation: Paid per APP
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
