[Hiring] Clinical Trial Planning Specialist @Pyramid Consulting

Role Description

Immediate need for a talented Clinical Trial Planning Specialist – Planisware. This is a 06+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in US (REMOTE).

• Build, maintain, and update clinical trial project plans in Planisware.
• Enter and maintain study activities, milestones, timelines, dependencies, deliverables, and other planning information.
• Support clinical trial planning across the clinical development lifecycle.
• Translate clinical trial execution activities into structured Planisware project plans.
• Maintain accurate dependencies across Clinical Operations, Data Management, Regulatory, Biostatistics, Medical Affairs, CROs, and other functions.
• Update plans when study timelines, milestones, activities, or execution requirements change.
• Support Global Project Managers with Planisware planning questions and project-plan updates.
• Serve as a backup resource for Planisware project-planning inquiries.
• Troubleshoot planning-system and project-plan issues and coordinate escalation when needed.
• Review Planisware data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Identify missing, outdated, or inconsistent planning information.
• Participate in UAT, system testing, releases, enhancements, and upgrades.
• Support sprint/enhancement activities related to Planisware and clinical planning.
• Create and maintain user guides, job aids, process documentation, and training materials.
• Collaborate with Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs, and Program Operations teams.
• Support Medical Affairs planning activities when applicable.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on Planisware experience.
• 3–5 years of Planisware experience specifically supporting clinical trial planning/execution.
• Direct experience with clinical trial execution.
• Strong understanding of the clinical trial lifecycle and study flow.
• Experience building or maintaining clinical project plans.
• Experience managing clinical milestones, timelines, dependencies, activities, and deliverables.
• Ability to understand cross-functional clinical dependencies and translate them into project plans.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Medical Affairs experience — major differentiator.
• Medical Affairs operations or planning experience.
• Clinical Development or Clinical Operations experience.
• Experience supporting Global Project Managers.
• Resource planning or resource forecasting experience.
• Portfolio planning or R&D planning experience.
• Planisware user support or troubleshooting experience.
• UAT, system validation, system upgrades, or release experience.
• Pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience.

Benefits

• Pay Range: $50 - $55/hour.
• Traveler benefits as per agency package. (Benefits vary by vendor and assignment.)
