Role Description

As a Clinical Supervisor, you will review client presentations with associate counselors, discuss treatment options, and provide guidance when clinical decisions need additional consideration. Supervision sessions will focus on practical issues that arise during counseling, including:

• Assessment findings
• Treatment progress
• Situations that require further consultation

You will also monitor documentation and help associates recognize when a client's needs fall outside their current experience or authorized scope of practice. Applicants must be qualified to supervise associate counselors under the applicable state regulations.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in counseling or a qualifying mental health discipline.
• Current, unrestricted independent clinical license with eligibility to provide clinical supervision in the state of practice.
• State-required supervisor qualifications, approval, or training.
• Clinical experience with assessment and treatment planning.
• Strong understanding of clinical risk management and counseling ethics.
• Ability to evaluate cases and explain clinical recommendations clearly.

Requirements

• Help clinicians interpret assessment findings within their permitted scope.

• Document supervision activities as required by the licensing board.
