[Hiring] Clinical Pharmacist I @WellSense Health Plan

Role Description

Reporting to the Manager of Pharmacy Services, the Clinical Pharmacist I is primarily responsible for the pharmacy utilization management (UM) activities, including:

• Review of all pharmacy prior authorization requests
• Oversight of the UM activities of the Pharmacy Services support staff
• Maintenance of existing pharmacy UM programs

In addition, the Clinical Pharmacist I supports the department by coordinating the activities of the health plan’s pharmacy benefits manager (PBM) and formulary advisory committees (Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee). The Clinical Pharmacist I may also participate in care management activities such as MTM, case reviews, and such, as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed in the state of Massachusetts as a Pharmacist
• Bachelor of Pharmacy
• Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee experience preferred
• Doctor of Pharmacy preferred
• 1-2 years clinical experience
• Managed Care experience preferred

Requirements

• Valid unrestricted Massachusetts state pharmacy licensure
• Extensive knowledge of drug products, medical therapeutics, pharmacokinetics, and disease states
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Demonstrated ability to review & analyze data

Compensation Range

$88,500 - $128,500. This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensure as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness.
