Role Description

MSHP seeks a Clinical Documentation Specialist who will support efforts to improve the overall quality and completeness of clinical documentation and coding in outpatient physician practices. They will work closely with:

• Physicians
• Health Information Management
• The Mount Sinai Health Partners team

Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and coding ambulatory medical records
• Identifying opportunities to improve coding
• Educating physicians
• Acting as a liaison between all parties

Qualifications

• Experience in clinical documentation and coding
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals

Requirements

• Relevant certification in clinical documentation or coding
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards
• Proficiency in medical terminology
