Role Description

As our Dietitian, you will provide expert nutrition care, developing and implementing individualized plans to improve patient health outcomes.

• Clearly communicate nutritional data across all systems.
• Participate in health team meetings as the resident nutrition expert.
• Integrate robust clinical expertise with empathetic, evidence-based care.
• Adhere to professional standards and foster effective communication with patients and healthcare teams.
• Perform nutritional assessments using age and gender appropriate standards, cultural, religious, and ethnic backgrounds.
• Utilize validated assessment tools resulting in nutrition-related diagnosis when indicated.
• Conduct routine screening to identify patients at nutritional risk.
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary environment to facilitate care and identify patients needing higher levels of care.
• Implement targeted and specific nutrition interventions.
• Provide customized nutrition education to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Closely monitor, evaluate, and rescreen patient nutrition status as appropriate.
• Update plan of care as necessary and follow up with patients as needed.
• Develop an intervention plan including appropriate feeding route, mode, and nutrition prescription unique to patient's specific needs.
• Monitor and evaluate patient response to interventions by meeting specific measurable goals documented in the nutrition care plan.
• Collaborate with the Food and Nutrition Services team to enhance patient experience.
• Participate in test trays, menu reviews, and periodic auditing trayline for accuracy of diet orders.
• Validate menu compliance with the facility Diet Manual Handbook and Nutrition Care Manual (NCM).
• Support patient interactive positions (i.e., dietitians, diet clerks, etc.).
• Maintain communication with patients, staff, and guests while providing excellent customer service.
• Participate in peer reviews and chart audits.
• Collaborate in Diet Manual Handbook training for all clinical staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Dietetics or completion of an accredited dietitian program (ACEND - Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition Dietetics).
• Registered Dietitian (RD) - N/A within 90 Days.
• Registered Dietitian ADA (RD-ADA) - N/A within 90 Days.
• Registered Dietitian AND (RD-AND) - N/A within 90 Days.
• Registered Dietitian CDR (RD-CDR) - N/A within 90 Days.
• Dietitian: Nevada (DIETITIAN:NV) - N/A within 90 Days.
