[Hiring] Clinical Coordinator @Discovery Behavioral Health

Role Description

The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating admissions with the admissions’ department and the facility. They also will support the patient and their support system through the onsite assessment and admission process.

• Works closely with the admissions’ department to schedule admission times, tours, and assessments.
• Oversees the patient intake process, completes initial assessments, and sends necessary information to the home office.
• Guides patients through the pre-admission medical standard procedure as needed.
• Provides a preliminary diagnosis based on the initial assessment and communicates this to the patient’s assigned therapist and registered dietitian.
• Supports the patient and support system during their first week in the program for a smooth transition.
• Calls referring treatment team and outpatient treatment team members upon admission.
• Conducts in-person pre-admission assessments and recommends level of care based on APA Guidelines.
• Facilitates groups and provides meal support as needed.
• Supports in managing the milieu and oversees patient activities and interactions.
• Builds rapport with patients through education on the admission processes and treatment needs.
• Serves as a positive role model through a caring and professional attitude.
• Completes tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintains the confidential nature of Outpatient Programming and related activities.
• Travels to other facilities for training or assistance as needed.
• Demonstrates tact, initiative, resourcefulness, and a non-judgmental attitude.
• Performs any requested task and accepts responsibilities as requested by the Program Director or Milieu Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, or a health-related field preferred.
• Licensed or license eligible in a related field preferred.
• Prefer three years’ experience working in mental health, counseling, or eating disorders field.

Requirements

• MUST be licensed/associate licensed in CA.

Benefits

• Compensation: Pay Range of $60,000-75,000 annually.
