Role Description
The Associate Medical Director will report to SVP - Medical Director and is responsible for providing medical expertise to clients and internal teams while contributing to strategy and developing medical content. This is a critical role that will ensure the medical insightfulness, integrity, and topicality of the content for client projects and help ensure compliance. This role will proactively support full integration of medical strategy within all accounts via cross-functional partnerships, creativity, and advocacy.

Own medical content development for multiple projects.

Drive medical strategic guidance on assigned accounts and discuss strategic recommendations with clients.

Ensure high-quality execution regarding scientific content, organization, clarity, accuracy, format, consistency, and adherence to regulatory and internal guidelines, styles, and processes.

Build working relationships with key client marketing and medical personnel.

Mentor junior writers supporting assigned accounts as needed.

Remain up to date with the medical literature and industry changes relevant to the client’s brands.

Participate in maintaining the integrity and leading presence of the Medical Strategy and Content Team within Rev.
Qualifications

Advanced/terminal degree (PhD, MD, PharmD, or equivalent).

3+ years of relevant experience developing scientific and medical content in pharmaceutical advertising, medical communications, or similar field in a client-facing medical lead role.

Strong experience in the development of medical communications/pharmaceutical marketing medical content, including slide decks, advisory board executive summaries, support materials for training programs, etc., with minimal direction.

Experience in strategic medical work associated with pharma marketing in a commercial setting.

Strong scientific background with solid oral and written communications and interpersonal skills.

Able to effectively interact with clients and healthcare professionals.

Ability to multi-task and work both independently and within a team structure.
