[Hiring] AR Medical Billing Specialist @Access TeleCare

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented AR Medical Billing Specialist. The AR Billing Specialist position will be responsible for a variety of tasks requiring data analysis, in-depth evaluation, and sound judgment. As our medical Biller, your daily duties will include:

• Preparing and submitting billing data and medical claims to insurance companies
• Ensuring the patient’s medical information is accurate and up to date
• Reviewing patient statements
• Collecting and reviewing referrals and pre-authorizations
• Accessing EMRs to locate patient demographics and insurance information
• Calling payers to obtain information regarding patient eligibility, authorization, and/or denials
• Monitoring and recording patient payments
• Investigating and appealing denied claims
• Working front end rejections and back-end denials
• Helping patients develop payment plans
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Medical Biller or similar role
• Solid understanding of Billing, Coding, and EMR
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

• Strong communications skills (written and oral) as well as the ability to work effectively across departments
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, communication, and collaboration tools in various operating systems
• Ability to work effectively under deadlines and self-manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
