RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Reviews, analyzes, and assigns codes based on appropriate coding guidelines and criteria for outpatient medical record documentation.
• Includes, but not limited to: medical, diagnostic and procedural information for the correct ICD-10-CM and/or CPT-4 HCPCS codes.
• Primary coding responsibility is Diagnostic/Clinical, Emergency Room, Recurring and Specimen patient types.

REMOTE/WORK FROM HOME

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One or more certifications required - RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-A, CPC-H.
• Coding experience preferred.
• Coding Certificate program (AHIMA accredited) preferred.
• Experience in coding at a multi-facility organization and remote coding experience is a plus.
