Role Description
The AAC Consultation Analyst is responsible for empowering speech-language pathologists (SLPs) to develop greater confidence and efficiency when writing the insurance-required speech evaluation reports for insurance approval for the QuickTalker Freestyle speech device. This position will help design, implement, and maintain strategies and tools that help SLPs produce high-quality evaluations efficiently while meeting clinical and insurance standards for best outcomes and reducing anxiety relating to completing the evaluation. As part of the medical funding process, this role will work collaboratively with other AbleNet staff to provide an improvement-centric service experience with both internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Required

Professional Certification in Speech-Language Pathology strongly preferred

3 years of experience working with individuals using AAC in clinical and/or school settings

Direct experience working with AbleNet’s funding service for speech devices strongly preferred
Requirements

Create and implement tactics and strategies that enhance speech-language pathologists’ confidence and efficiency in completing insurance-required speech evaluations to reduce the overall evaluation report writing time.

Responsible for assisting speech language pathologists with understanding the data requirements set by their client’s insurance company’s policy.

Meet with SLPs and other stakeholders to achieve best outcomes with a goal of reducing unnecessary time and anxiety for the ableEXPERIENCE process and identifying barriers to evaluation completion.

Collaborate proactively with internal departments to improve the SLP experience and facilitate best outcomes.

Meet with speech language pathologist during the ableEXPERIENCE to answer questions, review data collected and encourage completion of the speech evaluation.

Promote the utilization of AbleNet’s tools and resources to successfully improve insurance approval.

Address all inquiries with the utmost sense of urgency and quality of service.

Maintain HIPAA and FERPA laws in accordance with the compliance requirements of AbleNet.

Adhere to departmental procedures, processes, and workflows.

Customer-Facing Office Environment – Requires regular sitting or standing at a desk, frequent computer keyboarding, and handling customer interactions through phone, email, chat, and/or video conferencing in a professional office setting.

Full-Time, exempt employees work an average of 40 hours per week. Additional hours may be required as necessary.

Fully Remote - onsite presence is not expected/will be minimal.

Occasional (10%) - potential for travel 1-2 times quarterly for onsite visits and trainings.
