Role Description
This role involves assisting with the coordination and hosting of externally facing events that enhance SANS’ image, improve client loyalty, and enhance SANS’ brand-to-client experience.
- Research and secure venues
- Plan and manage SANS trade event calendar
- Negotiate quotes and agreements with vendors
- Assist with event marketing
- Monitor timeframes and budgets
- Deliver on event brief objectives
- Amplify brand visibility
- Optimize lead generation from events
- Enhance client and employee relations
- Improve organizational growth through effective events
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or similar discipline
- 3+ years managing marketing for events or other experiential programs
- Proven experience in planning, organizing, and executing trade shows, exhibitions, and corporate events
- Experience in handling trade show budgets, tracking expenses, and reporting on trade show results
- Fluent communication skills (written and oral) in English, French, and/or German
- Strong skills in negotiating and coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams
- Experience in lead generation and management with CRM tools (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce)
- PC literate with good MS Office skills
Requirements
- Ability to monitor ROI and drive data-driven decisions
- Able to align trade show activities with overall marketing and brand strategy
- Familiarity with trade shows and marketing strategies within the EMEA region
- Ability to research and develop potential trade show events
- Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, exhibitors, and partners
- Ability to multitask, manage timelines, and ensure all event components are delivered on schedule
- A pro-active forward-thinking team player
- Ability to use own initiative and work independently
- Understanding of lead generation best practices
- Passionate about testing, measurement, and optimisation to continuously drive ROI
- Not afraid to challenge the status quo
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple high-touch events simultaneously
- Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as presentation skills
- Able to work in high pressure situations and deadline driven
- Excellent attention to detail
- Willing and able to travel as required for trade shows and events
