We’re looking for a Senior Director of Growth who is equal parts strategist, analyst, builder, and operator. This is not a seat for someone who manages from a distance. You’ll be a player-coach leading a small, high-leverage team while staying deeply hands-on across data & analytics, product experimentation, CRO, lifecycle communications, and paid acquisition.

What makes this role different: we want someone who thinks of AI as a core productivity layer — not a buzzword. You’ll architect internal AI workflows that help the growth team move faster, test more, and do more with less. If you’ve already been quietly building agent pipelines, automating briefs, or replacing manual analysis with LLM-powered tooling, this role was written for you.

Job Responsibilities:

AI Workflow Orchestration

  • Design and deploy internal AI-powered workflows that eliminate repetitive work across the growth team — from brief generation to copy iteration to insight synthesis.
  • Build and maintain agent pipelines (using tools like Claude, ChatGPT, n8n, Zapier, or custom code) that help the team test faster and surface learnings more efficiently.
  • Serve as the team’s internal champion for AI adoption, identifying new leverage points across acquisition, activation, and retention.

Analytics & Data

  • Own the growth model and all core forecasting, ensuring alignment with roadmap and exec reporting.
  • Write and maintain complex SQL queries across our data warehouse to support experimentation, cohort analysis, funnel diagnostics, and channel attribution.
  • Define, monitor, and evolve KPIs across the full growth funnel — from first touch to long-term retention.
  • Build out predictive modeling and customer segmentation capabilities that move the team beyond backward-looking reporting.

Conversion Rate Optimization & Experimentation

  • Own our digital properties end-to-end — continuously testing and improving conversion across landing pages, signup flows, and onboarding sequences.
  • Run a structured experimentation program with clear hypotheses, rigorous measurement, and fast learning loops.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Design to ship product-level experiments that improve activation and retention.

Customer Communications & Lifecycle

  • Lead strategy and execution of the full customer lifecycle inside our CRM (Iterable), from onboarding to re-engagement.
  • Build and optimize trigger-based journeys, behavioral nudges, and proactive engagement campaigns that increase retention and reduce churn.
  • Partner with the Communications Marketing Manager to improve existing journeys and launch new ones.

Paid Acquisition & Affiliate

  • Oversee paid media strategy across search, social, and emerging channels, with a focus on efficiency and scale.
  • Manage and grow our affiliate program, identifying new partners and optimizing performance.
  • Ensure tight feedback loops between acquisition channels and downstream activation/retention data.

Team & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a small growth team (2–4 people), fostering a high-output, low-ego culture.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product, and Marketing to align on priorities and move quickly.
  • Present growth performance and strategic recommendations to executive leadership on a regular cadence.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience spanning multiple growth disciplines — you’ve touched paid, CRO, lifecycle, and analytics, not just one of them.
  • Strong, demonstrable SQL skills — you can write complex queries from scratch and aren’t waiting on a data team to pull numbers for you. Or at the very least you can leverage AI to write SQL for you.
  • Hands-on experience building or orchestrating AI workflows — not just using AI tools, but wiring them into repeatable systems that save time at scale.
  • Deep familiarity with tools like Amplitude, Segment, Iterable, and VWO (or close equivalents).
  • A genuine preference for doing the work yourself — you’d rather build a model than delegate it, and you take pride in the craft of it.
  • Track record of running structured experimentation programs with measurable business impact.
  • Sharp communicator who can translate data and complexity into clear exec-level narratives.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where strategic and tactical work happen in parallel.
  • Experience at a B2C subscription company is a must.
