[Hiring] Social Media / Video / Ads Specialist @Virtual Colleague Philippines

Role Description

This is a remote position.

We are looking for an experienced Social Media / Video / Ads Specialist who understands that social media is more than simply creating graphics and scheduling posts. You will support multiple brands across different industries, helping create content that builds attention, engagement, conversations, leads, and sales.

The ideal candidate combines strong video editing skills with an understanding of content strategy, audience engagement, and paid advertising. You should understand why content works, not simply how to publish it.

Qualifications

• Professional social media management experience.
• Strong video editing experience.
• Experience creating Reels, Shorts, and TikToks.
• Experience managing multiple social media platforms.
• Strong understanding of hooks and CTAs.
• Experience with Meta Ads.
• Experience with Canva and CapCut or similar tools.
• Excellent written English.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently.
• Reliable internet and computer.
• TikTok Ads and Instagram Ads experience is an advantage.

Requirements

• Professional experience with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
• Expected initial content output includes:
• 10 short-form videos per week (30 seconds to 1 minute each).
• 4 longer-form videos per week (6–12 minutes, primarily for YouTube).
• Standard image posts and carousels as required.
• Additional content based on business priorities.
• Ability to manage workload and prioritize effectively.

Skills Validation

• Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a paid practical test.
• The client will first conduct an interview to assess communication, attitude, and overall fit.
• A practical task may then include receiving raw footage and being asked to:
• Create a Reel.
• Create a strong hook.
• Write the caption.
• Add appropriate editing elements.
• Explain how the content could be repurposed across multiple platforms.
• The purpose is to validate the candidate's actual skills and creative judgement.
