Role Description
We are seeking two Social Media Managers to support and coordinate the processes that drive our content strategy, with a particular emphasis on dissemination, social media management, outreach, media engagement, and digital content production. These roles will play a key part in ensuring that our research, policy, and advocacy content reaches relevant and diverse audiences in formats that are clear, compelling, and platform-appropriate.
The Social Media Managers will work closely with communications, editorial, multimedia, and research teams to plan, produce, and distribute content across digital channels. In addition to strong dissemination and outreach capacity, the role includes a significant visual-content component, helping translate complex material into engaging social media assets, infographics, campaign visuals, presentations and other digital outputs.
Main Responsibilities and Specific Tasks

Implement dissemination strategies across social media, newsletters and other digital channels to ensure effective, timely and audience-appropriate distribution of organizational content.

Manage day-to-day social media activity, including content planning, scheduling, publishing, copy adaptation and support for audience-facing coordination where relevant.

Support the rollout of campaigns, publications, events, webinars and flagship products through tailored messaging, visual assets and platform-specific content packages.

Produce and adapt high-quality digital content, including social media graphics, templates, infographics, presentations and other visual outputs that communicate complex material clearly and effectively.

Contribute visual support to multimedia and digital storytelling outputs, including simple motion assets and other design elements for video and online content.

Apply and maintain brand standards, templates and workflows to ensure consistency and efficiency across channels and teams.

Support media outreach and work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to align content, timing and dissemination priorities.

Monitor performance and apply analytics, feedback and platform developments to strengthen content quality, engagement and impact.

Backstop wider digital engagement and outreach functions, including web management, webinars and online events.
Qualifications

Full professional proficiency in English. Additional language skills relevant to the duty region are highly desirable.

At least 2β5 years of relevant professional experience in social media management, digital communications, outreach or closely related roles.

Demonstrated experience managing content across multiple digital channels and social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X and Substack, as well as scheduling tools such as Buffer.

Demonstrated interest in international development, security, crime and/or justice issues, as relevant to the GI-TOCβs mandate and expertise.

Strong editorial judgment and the ability to translate complex research or policy content into clear, concise, and engaging communication.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop, as well as Canva for collaborative and template-based workflows, with a strong understanding of visual hierarchy, layout, typography, and platform-specific design needs across social media, presentations, reports, and web. Experience with motion tools such as After Effects is an asset.

Experience with media outreach, journalism, or work with international organizations, nonprofits, media organizations, or research-focused institutions is an asset.
