Job Role: Social Media Content Creator
Compensation range: $1,800 AUD - $2,200 AUD / Monthly
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.
Role Overview: We are looking for a mature, experienced marketing professional who can think strategically, create compelling content, and translate technical information into engaging digital storytelling for B2B audiences.
You will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Planning
-
Develop and execute a structured content strategy aligned with business growth objectives.

Build and manage a forward-thinking content calendar across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and website.
-
Translate technical sustainability information into clear, engaging and commercially relevant content.
-
Align content with marketing campaigns, product launches and industry events.
-
Hands-On Content Creation
-
Edit short-form video content (Reels, LinkedIn video, educational explainers, behind-the-scenes).

Write engaging LinkedIn posts, captions, and short-form written content to support B2B storytelling and thought leadership.

Occasional on-camera participation may be required for specific content pieces, but the primary focus of the role is content strategy, editing, and storytelling.

Provide guidance on what content should be captured by the on-site team during factory tours, trade shows, and client visits to support your content plan and broader marketing strategy.

Develop engaging formats including:

Educational sustainability explainers

Industry myth-busting

Light-hearted and personality-driven content

Product demonstrations

Contribute to website copy and SEO-informed content development.

Platform & Community Management
-
Manage daily posting, engagement and audience interaction.

Maintain consistent brand tone and positioning.

Monitor industry conversations across sustainability, packaging and construction.

Engage strategically with key stakeholders and industry leaders online.

Performance & Optimisation
-
Track, analyse and report on monthly content performance.
-
Use data-driven insights to optimise engagement, reach and conversion.

Identify opportunities to improve qualified inbound leads via digital channels.
Qualifications
-
5+ years’ experience in social media, digital marketing or content creation.

Demonstrated success growing brand presence and engagement.
-
Strong video editing capability (CapCut, Adobe Suite, Canva or similar).

Excellent written communication skills.
-
Strong understanding of LinkedIn strategy for B2B brands.
-
Commercially aware — understands how content drives business outcomes.
-
Highly organised, proactive and self-directed.
-
Formal qualifications in Marketing or Communications welcomed but not essential.

Experience creating content for B2B brands, technical industries, construction industries, or sustainability-focused organisations is highly regarded.

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
