[Hiring] SEO Manager @Cyera

Role Description

We are looking for a highly motivated SEO Manager to own and drive our search engine optimization strategy. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on execution, ensuring our digital presence drives measurable business impact. You’ll partner closely with external agencies and work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, including content, product marketing, demand generation, and web development, to maximize visibility, authority, and growth.

The ideal candidate has expertise across both technical SEO and content SEO, with a proven ability to translate business objectives into search-first strategies. Experience with Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) is a huge plus.

Responsibilities

• Strategy Ownership: Develop, lead, and continuously refine a holistic SEO strategy (including both content and technical SEO) that drives qualified traffic, rankings, and pipeline.
• Execution & Optimization: Balance hands-on execution (keyword research, on-page optimization, technical audits, etc.) with guiding agency partners and internal teams.
• Agency & Vendor Management: Collaborate with SEO, link-building, and analytics agencies to deliver against KPIs, ensuring external efforts align with broader marketing goals.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with content, product marketing, PR, and web development to create optimized assets, improve site architecture, and support launches.
• Technical SEO: Conduct audits, oversee site health, resolve crawl/indexing issues, optimize site speed, and more.
• Content SEO: Drive keyword research, content gap analysis, and optimization strategies across product pages, blogs, glossaries, and thought-leadership. Work cross-functionally to drive SEO content calendar.
• Emerging Search (AEO + GEO): Experiment with and implement tactics that improve visibility in AI-powered search engines and generative results.
• Measurement: Track performance using analytics and SEO tools, across SEMrush, Google Analytics, and more, to provide insights to leadership, and continually iterate strategy based on results.
• Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and changes in B2B digital marketing, SEO, GEO and AEO. Implement best practices and innovative tactics to drive new leads and improve website and SEO performance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in SEO, both execution and strategy, for B2B companies.
• Proven track record of effectively advancing SEO rankings for B2B companies, and increasing qualified leads from SEO.
• Knowledge of technical SEO, and ability to implement and guide and monitor external agencies in doing so.
• Knowledge of content strategy and optimization.
• Proven experience working in a startup environment and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
• Experience managing third-party agencies and outsourced partnerships.
• Deep knowledge of SEO best practices, with a track record of driving measurable improvements in search rankings and organic traffic.
• Strong analytical skills with experience using tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, or similar platforms.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external agencies.
• Self-starter with a proactive mindset, capable of driving initiatives independently and seeing them through to completion.

Bonus Points

• Cybersecurity industry experience.
• Familiarity with SEO tools (SEMrush, etc.).

Compensation Information

• Compensation Range: $130,000-$160,000.
• The range represents total compensation, and may include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
• This compensation range represents Cyera’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of posting, and Cyera may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
• The final salary for this position will be determined in Cyera’s sole discretion, consistent with applicable law, and based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the employee’s work experience, skills, and qualifications for the role, as well as the needs of Cyera’s business and other operational considerations.
• Final compensation will vary based on seniority and relevance of experience, location, and position requirements.
• This role may be eligible for potential merit increases based on factors such as individual or company performance, time in role, and other discretionary factors.
