[Hiring] SEO Consultant / Digital Marketer @The Appointment Firm

Role Description

An exciting opportunity has become available for an SEO consultant/Digital Marketer for an Agency based in Cape Town. The position is fully remote.

• Develop, implement, and monitor SEO strategies across a portfolio of client accounts
• Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and technical SEO audits
• Create and present client reports with clear insights and recommendations
• Communicate directly with clients, including leading meetings and calls
• Monitor campaign performance and make data-driven optimisation decisions
• Stay current with search engine developments, algorithm updates, and emerging tools
• Identify internal linking opportunities and on-page optimisation wins
• Contribute ideas across the broader digital team and support cross-channel strategy
• Take ownership of the KPIs for your client portfolio

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably in an agency environment
• Proven track record managing client accounts and delivering organic growth
• Proficiency with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, or similar
• Working knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Search Console
• Functional knowledge of WordPress and similar CMS platforms
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment
• Able to contribute to client strategy beyond just execution
