[Hiring] SEO & AI Search Specialist @Somewhere

Role Description

This role exists because demand for our SEO and AI-search offering is outpacing what the founder can execute alone. The systems, tools, and playbooks are already built. We are not looking for someone to reinvent strategy — we need a technically strong operator who can step into an existing process and execute it reliably, account after account, with minimal oversight. You will be the hands-on engine that lets us scale fulfillment without sacrificing quality. This starts part-time, tied to current account volume, with a real trajectory to full-time as the service line grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical & On-Page SEO
  • Run site audits and implement structural, meta, header, and schema fixes
  • Optimize sitemaps, internal linking, and site health across client sites
  • Ensure sites are properly structured for crawling, indexing, and ranking
• Local Search Optimization
  • Optimize Google Business Profiles and local listings
  • Execute local keyword research and "near me" optimization
  • Monitor and respond to local competitor movement
• Content Operations & AI Search (GEO)
  • Manage and QA high-volume content production (briefs, on-page optimization, keyword mapping) using existing tools and workflows
  • Structure content and metadata so it is surfaced and recommended by AI answer engines
  • Apply structured data, entity optimization, and AI-readable formatting (schema, llms.txt)
• Reporting & Tracking
  • Maintain rank tracking, organic traffic, and visibility reporting
  • Produce clear monthly performance summaries per account

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on SEO experience, ideally agency or multi-account
• Demonstrated technical SEO skill — able to prove it in a practical test, not just describe it
• Working knowledge of Google Business Profile and local SEO
• Comfort running repeatable processes at volume with high accuracy
• Strong written English and self-directed work habits
• Reliable remote setup

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with AI search / GEO / AEO and how LLMs surface and cite content
• Content operations at scale, including AI-assisted content workflows
• SEO tooling (Ahrefs, Semrush, GBP tools, rank trackers)
• Local, multi-location, or franchise SEO exposure
