Role Description
As the Senior Media Buyer, you own the paid media strategy for the full brand portfolio β seven brands today, and every brand added after β not just the execution of it. You decide where portfolio media dollars go and why, set the testing roadmap, and are accountable for Giveaway Marketing Efficiency Ratio (MER) across every brand.
You'll operate as a strategic partner to leadership on growth:
-
Bringing your own point of view on where to invest, where to pull back, and what's next.
-
Building the plan to get there.
This is a role for someone who thinks in portfolio terms first and campaign terms second and who's ready to grow into directing other buyers as the function scales.
What You'll Own
-
Serve as the single accountable owner for Giveaway MER across every brand in the portfolio.
-
Own portfolio-level budget allocation: decide how spend is distributed and reallocated across brands based on performance and opportunity.
-
Deliver a weekly Target β Actual β Insights β Action performance report to leadership.
-
Build and maintain a live Giveaway MER dashboard tracking first-time revenue, total spend, MER by brand, and opt-in rate.
-
Submit pre-giveaway strategy briefs ahead of each cycle: revenue goals, spend allocation by brand, and top testing priorities.
-
Design and direct a structured testing roadmap across creative, messaging, offer, and funnel variables.
-
Act as strategic lead for the full portfolio, directing paid media strategy for a subset of smaller brands directly.
-
Deliver rolling 3-month projections covering revenue contribution, MER targets, and opt-in rate by brand.
-
Develop and maintain a paid media SOP and onboarding documentation.
-
Partner cross-functionally with creative, CRO, and finance leads on the tradeoffs behind media decisions.
Not in Scope
-
Email/SMS execution, website or platform development, fulfillment/warehouse/inventory operations, or reactive troubleshooting outside of paid media and growth functions.
-
Day-to-day campaign execution stays with this role for now; that's the first piece to hand off once a buyer or agency is brought on under this person's strategy.
Qualifications
-
A track record of owning a KPI end-to-end across multiple brands or a portfolio, ideally in e-commerce, DTC, or performance marketing.
-
Comfort making and defending budget allocation calls across accounts, with the analytical rigor to back them up.
-
Experience designing and running structured A/B tests with clear hypotheses and success metrics.
-
Excellent written communication; this role runs on clear, consistent reporting to leadership.
-
Self-directed and comfortable operating independently, with strong follow-through on deadlines.
-
Experience with giveaway, sweepstakes, or promotional contest marketing is a strong plus.
-
Ability to surface problems, recommendations, and creative needs proactively.
-
Comfortable with direct feedback and high expectations.
-
Ability to think ahead to what the function needs as it grows.
Requirements
-
3+ years owning paid media strategy and execution across multiple brands or accounts simultaneously.
-
Experience managing significant daily spend (our current portfolio runs $100k+/day).
-
Deep Meta Ads fluency: comfortable directing campaign architecture, conversion objectives, and consolidation strategy.
-
Experience with third-party attribution and reporting platforms (Hyros, Triple Whale, Supermetrics, Wicked Reports, or similar) is a plus.
-
Prior experience directing the work of other buyers, freelancers, or an agency is a plus.
Benefits
-
Compensation: $70,000 to $85,000, based on experience.
-
The one non-negotiable is hitting deadlines and keeping the reporting cadence on time.
-
Full ownership of your growth path, with room for expanded scope over time.
