Role Description
People Inc. is seeking a strategic, highly motivated, and detail-oriented Senior Manager, Event Marketing to develop and execute a strategy to drive attendance, ticket revenue, and brand growth across its portfolio of world-class festivals and events. This role will develop and execute integrated, multi-channel marketing strategies, with a primary focus on the Food & Wine Classics in Aspen and Charleston, and other People, Inc events as needed. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience marketing live events, a strong understanding of audience development and brand positioning, and a proven ability to translate strategy into sustained consumer demand and revenue growth.
Remote- In-office Expectations: This position is fully remote with no in-office requirements, (might require coming into an office 1 or 2x a year).

30%: Lead marketing strategy, planning, budgeting, and execution for the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, the Food & Wine Classic in Charleston, and other People, Inc events as needed.

20%: Own the development of event positioning, attendee personas, and customer profiles while stewarding each brand and building sustained demand to establish the events among the nationβs premier food and wine festivals.

10%: Navigate a complex, matrixed organization to collaborate with key internal stakeholders, align on strategic plans and execution, and coordinate the effective use of People Inc. marketing channels.

10%: Build and nurture relationships with local businesses, community leaders, tourism partners, and cultural organizations to authentically integrate each event into its host city and establish it as a meaningful part of the local community and culture.

10%: Coordinate and execute direct mail, paid social campaigns, grassroots marketing, programmatic, search, and other paid channels as seen fit to build demand for the events.

10%: Work with internal editorial staff to create assets that highlight event milestones, tell the story of the event, develop social media schedules and track impact of editorial. Plan and execute event specific social media content and manage accounts.

10%: Perform analysis of marketing campaigns, attendance projections, and event audience demographics.
Qualifications

Bachelorβs degree, preferably in marketing, communications, or a related field or equivalent work experience.

Minimum 7+ years direct to consumer marketing experience, preferably for events/festivals.

Strong communication skills for successful collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Paid social and media buying experience.

Exceptional attention to detail.

Effective project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.

Experience with data-driven KPIs, tracking and reporting success.

Proficiency in the following technologies: Meta Business Suite, Jira, Google Suite, Social automation systems, Airtable.
