Role Description

AVIXA (Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association) is looking for a strategic, hands-on Senior Manager of Content Programming & Discovery to lead digital programming, content distribution, and audience growth. Reporting to the Vice President of Content Delivery, you will turn business priorities and audience insights into coordinated plans across AVIXA.org, newsletters, events, education, and related digital experiences.

You will set standards, lead priority initiatives, and bring teams together around a shared goal: making AVIXA the industry’s first stop for knowledge.

Success in this role will be measured by the quality and consistency of programming plans, growth in qualified audience engagement and discoverability, effective use of audience and search insights, timely execution across priority channels, and the ability to drive adoption of shared standards and recommendations by partner teams.

• Lead editorial strategy, content intelligence, and programming direction across AVIXA’s priority platforms.
• Plan, publish, and optimize digital programming across AVIXA’s priority websites and channels.
• Manage one staff member focused on community development and audience engagement.
• Partner with the digital and live content production teams to translate audience insights into actionable editorial briefs.
• Guide content optimization for discovery, usefulness, engagement, conversion paths, SEO, AEO, and audience relevance.
• Establish and manage the standards, tools, reporting cadence, and workflows for search, SEO, AEO, analytics, and audience intelligence.
• Apply insights and best practices internationally in regionally-relevant ways.
• Serve as the content and discovery subject matter expert for the digital product team.
• Collaborate with social media, communications, and community teams.
• Identify, evaluate, and cultivate content-partnership opportunities.
• Represent AVIXA at occasional industry and association events.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a managing editor, digital content manager, audience-development lead, or comparable role.
• Demonstrated skill in digital content development, SEO, AEO, content optimization, and audience development.
• Exceptional ability in copywriting and editing.
• A people-centered approach to serving audiences and members.
• Strong written and spoken English skills; additional language comprehension or fluency is a welcome plus.
• Experience working with CMS and digital publishing platforms.
• Experience integrating data into daily editorial decisions.
• Ability to build trust, communicate clearly, and influence decisions across teams.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing requests and maintain quality across multiple channels.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree helpful but not required.
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in digital content, editorial management, audience development, or a related field.
