Role Description
This is not a task-execution role. The Senior Google Ads Strategist is a high-impact, senior-level position for someone obsessed with data, structure, tracking, and performance strategy. You will be responsible for diagnosing account health, architecting scalable Google Ads systems, and leading optimization strategies in high-stakes environments where performance truly matters. You are expected to think like an owner, not an operator.
Key Responsibilities

Architect & Build: Design, launch, and scale highly structured Google Ads campaigns across Search, Display, YouTube, and Discovery.

Tracking & Data Integrity: Own tracking implementation using GA4 and Google Tag Manager (GTM) to ensure clean, accurate data before any budget is deployed.

Account Auditing & Recovery: Audit underperforming accounts, identify funnel leaks, attribution issues, and structural inefficiencies, and implement turnaround strategies.

Strategic Optimization: Continuously test bid strategies, keywords, ad copy, audiences, and landing pages to improve ROAS and CPA.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with SEO, Web Development, and CRM teams to ensure post-click conversion optimization and full-funnel alignment.

Performance Leadership: Proactively surface insights, risks, and opportunities; this role requires initiative, not direction.
Qualifications

8+ years of hands-on Google Ads experience, managing significant budgets for lead generation clients.

Advanced expertise in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM) (non-negotiable).

Proven track record of improving ROAS and/or lowering CPA in competitive environments.

Strong understanding of digital marketing βplumbingβ (tracking, conversions, pixels, attribution).

Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex data and strategies.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications

Experience working with CRM platforms (e.g., GoHighLevel, HubSpot, Salesforce).

Familiarity with landing page optimization and CRO principles.

Experience supporting or collaborating with SEO and web development teams.

Exposure to YouTube Ads and upper-funnel strategies for lead generation.
