[Hiring] Senior Director, Digital Strategy @CX Marketing

Role Description

The Senior Director of Digital Strategy provides leadership oversight of digital strategy for our nonprofit clients, including those we serve on behalf of partner agencies at Moore. This role may require leading and developing a team within Moore Agency, including digital strategists and specialists who support specific clients and client groups. The Senior Director, Digital Strategy provides strategy guidance for assigned clients and supports the Associate VP Digital Strategy in new business development and thought leadership efforts.

Your Impact:

Client Management

• Oversees weekly client touch-base meetings for updates on all digital deliverables.
• Oversees weekly internal WIP attendance and reporting for assigned client(s).
• Develops creative briefs, as needed.
• Contributes to the new business proposal process, as needed, through attending preparation meetings and contributing content on digital strategy.
• Creates annual budget and projection for assigned teams and business.
• May lead a strategy development, including content and placement, in conjunction with the media team for programmatic display, paid search and paid social.
• Leads strategy development, including content and cadence, for email fundraising programs.
• Performs research and continuous monitoring of the digital landscape in order to present new growth opportunities to clients.
• Coordinates with leadership on managing of projects through the department, in order to provide timely responses to clients and client teams.
• Contributes to marketing strategies to grow digital marketing and other aspects of digital marketing throughout the enterprise.
• Works closely with Associate Vice President of Digital Strategy and business development leadership to generate new business growth across the enterprise.
• Stays abreast of key industry and market trends and recommends product, service, and technology innovations to ensure success for clients and ongoing growth and leadership.
• May be asked to assist with or respond to RFPs as needed to help secure new business.

Team Management

• Builds, coaches, and mentors a group of digital strategists and specialists.
• Holds weekly touch base meetings with each member of their Digital Strategy Team comprised of Strategists and Specialists.
• Meetings include client needs discussions and updates, internal team issues, planning for current and future campaigns.
• Meets weekly with Associate Vice President of Digital Strategy to provide updates on all team members, review new business and discuss team growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in digital marketing; marketing for the nonprofit sector also highly preferred.
• Experience managing digital strategy functions and teams.
• Solid understanding of the digital marketing and nonprofit sectors.
• Ability to oversee digital strategy and provide digital consulting for nonprofit clients and client groups.
• Exceptional communication skills encompassing written, verbal and presentation capabilities.
• Must read and write English clearly and concisely.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Comfortable with a fast-paced agency environment and a variety of client service tasks.
• Able to handle multiple concurrent projects while working independently and collaborating with teams.
• Other key competencies include adaptability, initiative and innovation, sound judgement, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• 7+ years of experience with digital agency or digital marketing group required.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
