[Hiring] Senior Account Strategist @ProperExpression

Role Description

We're looking for a senior marketer with experience leading execution across most core areas of the modern marketing stack (email, content, SEO, paid media, and/or HubSpot & RevOps), paired with strong client-facing experience and project management skills. This role is ideal for someone who wants to deepen their ability to lead delivery, manage clients, and coordinate teams while driving measurable results. We're looking for a doer with leadership potential.

Tired of being the “middle person” between clients and internal teams, with no real ownership over outcomes? At ProperExpression, our Senior Account Strategists are execution leaders, not meeting runners. This role sits at the center of client delivery – translating strategy into action, leading project managers and specialists, and owning the quality, results, and momentum of client work. It's a senior, client-facing delivery role for marketers who understand how modern marketing works in the real world.

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on marketing experience across multiple channels
• Enjoys managing ongoing client relationships
• Highly organized and delivery-oriented
• Comfortable leading client meetings and explaining results
• Can coordinate complex workstreams without micromanagement
• Wants to grow into an Account Director or VP-level role over time

Requirements

• Fully remote
• Must be located in the US or Canada
• Must be willing to work EST hours full-time
• 6+ years of professional marketing experience
• Proven experience managing ongoing client relationships at a marketing agency
• Experience overseeing multi-channel marketing programs
• Project management experience (formal or informal)
• Expert-level experience in at least one of the following:
• Email & Marketing Automation
• Content Marketing
• SEO
• Paid Search
• Paid Social (LinkedIn and/or Meta)
• HubSpot and/or RevOps
• Hands-on intermediate or higher experience in at least three of the above
• Familiarity with all, with no more than 1–2, with zero experience
• Ability to discuss these channels confidently with clients
• Interface intelligently with channel specialists
• Assign work and evaluate quality
• Explain performance and tradeoffs
