Product Marketing Specialist reports to Japan Marketing Sr. Manager and is part of APAC Marketing Team located in Cytiva Shinjuku Office.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a life sciences–related discipline.

Knowledge of the biosimilar and/or generic pharmaceutical markets.

Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional and cross-regional stakeholders.

English proficiency to collaborate with global/APAC teams (email and web meetings).
Requirements
-
3+ years of experience in product marketing, with 5+ years of overall business experience in the life sciences industry.

Solid experience in product marketing within the life sciences sector.
-
Knowledge of bioprocess products or related life science product portfolios.
-
Proven experience in executing lead generation and nurturing programs, including establishing processes from scratch.

Experience in digital marketing and/or marketing communications.
-
Hands-on experience with marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Marketo, Salesforce).
Key Responsibilities

Campaign Execution & Performance Management
-
Execute integrated marketing campaigns and initiatives in Japan in partnership with Channel Marketing and Global/APAC teams.

Define clear KPIs and success metrics (e.g., impressions, leads, funnel creation and acceleration, revenue contribution) to demonstrate campaign effectiveness.

Continuously monitor, analyze, and optimize campaign performance to maximize ROI.

Go-to-Market Strategy & Localization

Deploy localized go-to-market strategies aligned with global marketing direction and Japan commercial priorities.

Support new product launches and existing product portfolio growth through tailored messaging, content, and programs.

Ensure local market needs are clearly articulated and reflected in global planning.

Market & Customer Insights

Conduct and manage local market research in collaboration with Global/APAC teams.

Translate market insights and customer pain points into differentiated value propositions, positioning, and key claims.

Consistently represent the voice of Japanese customers across marketing activities.

Lead Management & Funnel Optimization

Manage inbound leads in accordance with standard funnel management processes.

Qualify leads using defined criteria (e.g., BANT: Budget, Authority, Need, Timing) through email and phone engagement.

Accurately document interactions in CRM systems and hand off qualified leads to the commercial team with clear context.

Provide feedback on unqualified leads and collaborate with marketing and sales teams to improve lead quality and conversion rates.

Branding & Communications

Execute regional branding initiatives in alignment with global corporate brand strategy.

Ensure brand consistency and integrity across all Japan-specific marketing materials and communications.

Marketing Tools & Analytics

Leverage marketing automation, CRM, and market intelligence tools to drive lead generation, nurturing, and performance optimization.

Utilize analytics platforms to track, measure, and report on campaign outcomes.

Collaborate closely with Channel Marketing and other stakeholders to maximize tool effectiveness.
