[Hiring] Principal Technical SEO Specialist @Genius Sports

Role Description

Legend is hiring a Principal Technical SEO, reporting directly to our Chief Gaming Officer. This is a rare opportunity to take portfolio-wide responsibility for the technical SEO performance of some of the largest and most commercially important domains in iGaming.

• Co-own technical SEO across our Gaming portfolio, while also supporting our Sports portfolio.
• Identify technical opportunities and risks, turning them into clear priorities.
• Work closely with Product and Engineering to deliver measurable organic and commercial impact.
• Engage in complex challenges across crawling, rendering, indexation, architecture, internal linking, internationalisation, migrations, and performance.
• Set standards that scale across our portfolio.
• Advance how we use AI and automation across SEO.
• Build tools, monitoring, diagnostics, and automated workflows to improve decision-making.
• Lead through expertise rather than formal authority, collaborating with senior specialists and leaders across SEO, Product, Engineering, and Analytics.

• Exceptional technical SEO depth and judgement across various domains.
• Commercial and strategic thinking to connect technical decisions to organic and commercial outcomes.
• Principal-level influence, experienced in influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
• A builder's mindset, intellectually curious, and comfortable remaining hands-on.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge across crawling, rendering, indexation, architecture, internal linking, canonicalisation, international SEO, migrations, structured data, JavaScript SEO, log-file analysis, and web performance.
• Ability to translate complex technical findings into priorities based on expected value, risk, effort, confidence, and opportunity cost.
• Experience in challenging constructively and communicating complex technical decisions clearly.
