Role Description

The Market Research Manager is a key member of the Market Research team, playing a key role in supporting Dexcom’s business strategy through customer insights and data storytelling. This role leads supports U.S. and global brand research projects for Dexcom’s core brands, including research design and execution aligned to the market research process and company strategy.

• Develops strategic, cumulative, and in-depth market analyses.
• Translates insights into recommendations that help senior stakeholders make informed decisions and advance Dexcom’s priorities.
• Independently leads primary qualitative and quantitative research projects.
• Clarifies business and market research objectives.
• Designs research methodology, develops questionnaires and discussion guides.
• Oversees survey programming, analyzes data, and delivers summative reports and recommendations.
• Partners closely with internal stakeholders and external research partners.
• Leads the execution of all logistical aspects of research initiatives and vendor management.
• Develops and presents clear, compelling storylines with insightful data.
• Analyzes available syndicated and secondary research.
• Identifies common themes across all available research and data sources.
• Serves as a strategic research partner to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Applies AI-enabled and machine-learning-supported approaches to synthesize high-volume unstructured inputs.
• Responsible for understanding and complying with quality standards and requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience independently planning and executing qualitative and quantitative market research projects in pharmaceutical, med tech/medical device, or consumer packaged goods organizations.
• First-hand experience with integrating brand market research methodologies in support of brand planning and execution plans.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills, including quantitative data analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality across research deliverables.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and cross-functional partners.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to independently identify and prioritize key research questions.
• Experience using syndicated and secondary research sources.
• Strong command of MS Office software (advanced user of PowerPoint and Excel).
• Command of basic statistics theory.

Requirements

• Experience in the diabetes space.
• Experience with syndicated and secondary research knowledge of payer/insurance landscape in the US.
• Experience using AI-supported synthesis, automated theme coding, or machine-learning-enabled listening tools.
• Familiarity with integrating emerging data sources such as social listening, app and marketplace reviews, CRM data, dashboards, or external intelligence platforms.

Experience and Education Requirements

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree (market research, business, mathematics or social sciences).
• A graduate degree may be desirable with 4 years of related experience.

Remote Workplace

• Your location will be a home office; you are not required to live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km).
• If you reside within commuting distance of a Dexcom site, a hybrid working environment may be available.
