[Hiring] Marketing Manager @WeTravel

Role Description

WeTravel is hiring a Marketing Manager, reporting to the Director of Marketing, to own the integrated marketing strategy that ties together our hosted and field events, community, content, and segment engagement programs. This is a senior, highly cross-functional role — one that requires the experience and judgment to work across multiple disciplines simultaneously, connect them into a coherent strategy, and align them to business outcomes.

This isn't a role that sits inside a single marketing function. It's a role that sits across all of them. You'll bring strategic direction, cross-team coordination, and commercial rigor to a set of programs that are each meaningful in isolation but far more powerful when they compound. A core part of how you'll do this is through AI: you'll identify where agents and automation can execute at scale, oversee the systems that run them, and continuously raise the bar on what the team can produce without adding headcount.

We're looking for someone with deep experience — not someone learning the craft, but someone who's done this before, knows what good looks like, and can operate with a high degree of autonomy from day one.

What You'll Own

• Integrated Marketing Strategy: Set the overarching strategy for how WeTravel shows up in market across events, organic social media and community, content, and segment programs. Ensure these channels work together and are laddering up to shared pipeline and retention goals.
• AI Agent Oversight & Automation Strategy: Identify which marketing workflows — content production, lead enrichment, campaign operations, community engagement — can be systematized or handed to AI agents. Work alongside our Agentic Operator to define what gets automated, set the quality bar, and ensure agents are producing output that reflects WeTravel's voice and standards.
• Hosted & Field Events: Own the strategic direction for WeTravel's events presence — summits, webinars, field activations, and conference sponsorships. Define what we show up to, why, and how we convert those moments into measurable business impact.
• Community & Ecosystem: Develop the strategy for engaging WeTravel's community of travel operators, planners, and organizers — through owned programs, partner ecosystems, and ambassador initiatives.
• Content & Thought Leadership: Set the content direction that positions WeTravel as the authoritative voice in group travel.
• Segment Engagement: Develop and refine go-to-market approaches for WeTravel's key customer segments.
• Organic social media: Own the strategy and execution of WeTravel’s organic social media.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the connective tissue between marketing and the rest of the business.
• Planning, Prioritization & Reporting: Own your roadmap, set clear KPIs, and hold yourself accountable to outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of marketing experience, with meaningful time spent in roles that required owning strategy across multiple functions or channels simultaneously.
• Genuine fluency with AI tools and a forward-leaning mindset on automation.
• A track record of building programs from scratch and scaling them.
• The strategic instinct to know what matters and when, and the practical experience to execute without hand-holding.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Commercial orientation: you understand pipeline, retention, and revenue.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Comfort with ambiguity.
• Familiarity with the travel industry, marketplace businesses, or community-led growth models is a genuine advantage.
