[Hiring] Lead Solutions Marketing Manager @Lumen Technologies

Role Description

We are seeking a Lead Solutions Marketing Manager to support the development of industry- and segment-focused positioning, content, and sales enablement for the Lumen Security portfolio. The ideal candidate brings a passion for technology and storytelling, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to simplify complex cybersecurity concepts into clear, compelling stories that connect Lumen capabilities to customer needs and business outcomes.

This role will translate customer, industry, and market insights into relevant solution narratives, messaging, content, and sales enablement tailored to priority industries, segments, and buyer audiences. The work will connect Lumen Security capabilities to customer challenges and business priorities, helping buyers understand how Lumen can address their cybersecurity needs.

The Lead Solutions Marketing Manager will work closely with Solutions Marketing, Product Marketing, Sales, Campaign Operations, Creative, Analyst Relations, and subject matter experts to develop differentiated, market-relevant content that supports broader go-to-market priorities.

This is a highly collaborative role for a self-motivated marketer who can independently manage projects, build strong cross-functional relationships, and turn market and customer insights into compelling stories and content.

Location

This is a fully remote position open to candidates based anywhere in the U.S. Occasional travel is expected for team meetings, customer engagements, sales events, and industry conferences.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop expertise in priority industries and customer segments, including market trends, customer needs, pain points, buying priorities, and emerging opportunities.
• Translate complex cybersecurity and technology capabilities into clear, customer-focused messaging, value propositions, use cases, proof points, and differentiated stories.
• Develop industry- and segment-specific messaging, narratives, and content that connect Lumen solutions to relevant customer challenges and business outcomes.
• Create market-facing content such as solution briefs, eBooks, whitepapers, research reports, presentations, web content, and other assets that support go-to-market priorities.
• Develop sales enablement content that helps sellers understand customer challenges, industry and segment needs, relevant use cases, and the value of Lumen solutions.
• Adapt broader solution messaging and content for priority industries, customer segments, and buyer audiences.
• Partner across Solutions Marketing, Product Marketing, Sales, Demand Generation, and other subject matter experts to ensure messaging and content are accurate, relevant, and aligned with broader priorities.
• Incorporate customer, seller, market, and industry insights to continually strengthen messaging, content, and use cases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
• 5 years of experience in solutions marketing, segment marketing, industry marketing, product marketing, content marketing, or a related B2B technology role.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity topics such as network security, SASE, DDoS protection, managed security services, threat intelligence, cloud security, zero trust, or security operations.
• Strong writing and storytelling skills, with experience translating complex technology concepts into clear, compelling customer-facing content.
• Strong understanding of customers, markets, and go-to-market strategy, with the ability to turn insights into relevant solution, audience, and industry marketing.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience marketing complex B2B technology solutions, with cybersecurity, networking, cloud, managed services, or telecommunications experience preferred.
• Experience using customer, market, audience, and pipeline insights to identify opportunities and inform marketing strategies and content.
• Experience developing messaging, content, and marketing programs for specific industries, customer segments, buyer audiences, or technology use cases.

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

• $84,629 - $112,838 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, WY
• $88,860 - $118,480 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, RI
• $93,092 - $124,122 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, WA
