Role Description
We're looking for a Director of Search & Performance Marketing to come in, own the search function, and help us expand into paid advertising services we're not currently offering. This isn't a "manage the existing playbook" role. This is a "help us build the next chapter" role.

We prefer someone in the Atlanta metro, Chattanooga, or Upstate South Carolina/Clemson corridor who can come in for collaboration periodically. Fully remote candidates with exceptional credentials will be considered.
Compensation is a combination of salary, performance pay, and profit sharing.
What You'll Own

Local SEO (your foundation):

Lead local SEO strategy and execution across a portfolio of home service clients

Own Google Business Profile optimization, multi-location management, and GBP health monitoring

Drive technical SEO, on-page optimization, citation building, and link strategy

Stay ahead of algorithm updates and translate them into client-facing strategy

Be the internal expert — train, guide, and elevate the rest of the team

Paid Media (where we're growing):

Help us build and launch Google Ads as a service offering — from strategy to execution

Lead the rollout of Local Service Ads (LSAs) as a new revenue line

Develop and manage paid social campaigns (Meta, primarily) for home service clients

Help us productize these services so they scale

Agency Growth:

Work directly with ownership to shape service offerings and positioning

Contribute to proposals, client strategy calls, and new business pitches

Build the systems and processes that let us deliver paid media at scale
Qualifications

4+ years in Local SEO — you can talk NAP, GBP suspensions, local pack rankings, and multi-location architecture without breaking a sweat

Proven experience managing Google Ads campaigns — not just watching dashboards, actually building and optimizing

Working knowledge of LSAs — setup, verification, budget management, lead quality

Strong communicator — you can explain a strategy to a client who thinks SEO is a button you press

Self-directed — you don't need someone standing over you
Requirements

Home service industry experience (garage doors, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical — the trades)

Experience in a boutique agency or as a consultant/freelancer

Paid social (Meta Ads) experience

Familiarity with GHL (GoHighLevel) or other CRM/marketing platforms
