Role Description
The Global Director of Field Marketing and Events leads all event activity at PolyAI. This role is responsible for the planning and execution of a marketing event program that aligns with company growth targets. This role also provides advice, support, and oversight for internal events that involve high costs. As a marketing function lead, this role owns a portion of the growth target and is responsible for achieving their OKR objectives.
Responsibilities

Oversee all strategy, planning, logistics, and execution for conferences, trade shows, and webinars globally

Set event marketing KPIs and goals to match company growth goals and utilize a data-driven approach to adjust events strategy for continuous improvement

Own event performance and ensure event activity achieves company objectives

Grow and manage the events marketing team as needed

Build and maintain the event calendar

Coordinate with the admin team on the overall company and executive calendars

Create and manage event projects using Asana

Create and improve events processes so events programs are optimized for scaling long term

Work with marketing team members to develop compelling live, recorded, and on-demand event content

Provide support and oversight for high-cost internal events

Ensure proper tracking of leads and opportunities that originate from events

Provide regular analytic reports on the performance of team marketing efforts

Work with thought leaders to find speaking opportunities

Work with business development on lead management to maximize sales pipeline contribution from events

Work closely with the sales team to book meetings, drive event attendance, create executive briefings, and build an effective ABM event strategy

Work with the demand generation team to build out nurturing campaigns and develop a cohesive plan around each event

Work with the content team to develop cohesive message and content for each event and webinar

Work with the finance team to ensure resources are used efficiently and effectively

Develop overall event strategy to drive sales meetings and align with go-to-market priorities

Maintain brand consistency across in-person and virtual events

Own the events budget and manage it efficiently to reach company targets
Qualifications

Proven experience leading global field marketing and events in a high-growth B2B SaaS company, ideally in AI, enterprise software, or complex technical products

Track record of owning and hitting pipeline / revenue targets through events

Comfortable building strategy and executing hands-on in ambiguous, evolving environments (startup/scale-up mindset is critical)

This is not a purely strategic leadership role, you must be willing to get into the weeds and make things happen

Deep partnership with Sales, ABM, and Demand Gen β understands how events translate into meetings, pipeline, and revenue

Experience setting KPIs, tracking ROI, optimizing performance, and making decisions based on data (not gut feel)

Comfortable advising on high-cost internal events and pushing back when needed
Requirements

Experience in AI / conversational AI / voice / contact center / CX tech

Background in both startup and larger orgs

Experience running ABM-led event strategies

Exposure to developer or technical audiences (our product isnβt plug-and-play)
