[Hiring] Audience Relations Specialist @International Data Group

Role Description

The Audience Development Specialist will be responsible for building, maintaining, and improving audience databases to support event recruitment across North America. This includes:

• Identifying the right audience profiles based on event criteria.
• Sourcing new contact data.
• Cleaning and validating existing records.
• Supporting outreach efforts to maximize registrations and attendance.

This role requires strong research skills, data accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with event, marketing, and audience development teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in audience development, attendee acquisition, database building, lead generation, market research, or related event support functions.
• Experience supporting B2B events, conferences, webinars, or marketing campaigns is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of how to identify target audiences using event criteria such as industry, job function, seniority, company size, and geography.
• Experience in data research, list building, contact sourcing, and database management.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on data quality and accuracy.
• Ability to clean, validate, and maintain large volumes of data efficiently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable collaborating with US-based stakeholders and working across North America event timelines.

Requirements

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including:
  • Sorting and filtering large datasets
  • VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
  • PivotTables
  • Duplicate identification and removal
  • Data validation
  • Basic formulas and reporting
• Experience using CRM systems, marketing databases, event platforms, or spreadsheet-based tracking tools is preferred.
• Familiarity with LinkedIn and other business research tools for audience identification is an advantage.
