[Hiring] Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney @Texas State Library and Archives Commision

Role Description

This is a full-time, remote role for a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney. The attorney will manage and defend Workers' Compensation claims, provide legal advice, conduct legal research, and engage in negotiations. Daily tasks include:

• Court appearances
• Drafting legal documents
• Collaborating and maintaining relationships with clients
• Developing case-specific defense strategies

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Active membership in the California State Bar
• Strong knowledge of Workers' Compensation Law and Labor and Employment Law
• Proven ability to provide sound legal advice and conduct thorough legal research
• Effective negotiation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• 2+ years experience in Workers' Compensation defense preferred
