Role Description
The Associate Attorney is responsible for managing a growing portfolio of employment and class action litigation under the guidance of senior attorneys. This role provides high-quality legal counsel, advocacy, and client service, including:

Drafting substantive legal documents

Conducting research

Attending hearings and mediations

Collaborating with support staff to advance clientsβ interests effectively
Key Responsibilities

Case Management & Advocacy:
-
Manage class action wage and hour matters from inception through resolution.

Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda.
-
Conduct client and witness interviews and summarize statements.
-
Prepare for and participate in depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
-
Develop case strategy and maintain regular communication with clients.
-
Collaborate with support staff to ensure accurate file management and adherence to deadlines.

Legal Research & Analysis:

Perform legal research using LexisNexis and other platforms.
-
Analyze employment contracts, workplace policies, statutes, and regulations to provide actionable guidance.

Summarize and synthesize findings in memoranda and advisories.

Document Drafting & Filing:
-
Draft, review, and finalize pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
-
Prepare trial and mediation materials, including briefs and reports.
-
Maintain high-quality written communication in all correspondence.

Team Collaboration & Supervision:

Coordinate with paralegals, legal assistants, and other support staff.

Administrative Duties:

Participate in firm-wide projects and initiatives as assigned.

Maintain accurate case files, deadlines, and calendars across multiple jurisdictions.
Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
-
Active membership in the Washington State Bar (dual CA licensure a plus).

3+ years of relevant litigation experience, ideally including employment law/wage and hour class actions.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, PDF software, and legal research platforms.

Strong drafting, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple matters concurrently.
