Role Description
Reporting to the President of FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation and serving as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary will provide strategic guidance and counsel for FUJIFILM Americas Headquarters and its subsidiaries and affiliates in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the region.

Stay informed of activities across all business units and corporate functions.

Work with the Americas leadership to identify, understand, and address potential legal impacts.

Provide counsel to the Board of Directors, Senior Management Team, and other staff.

Champion a culture of compliance, accountability, collaboration, and risk management.

Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the President.
Qualifications

J.D. from an American Bar Association accredited law school.

A minimum of 15 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Active membership in the New York State Bar, or member in good standing of the State Bar of another state or District of Columbia.

Extensive experience in Mergers and Acquisitions.

Strong commercial contracting background, with extensive drafting and negotiation expertise.

Experience managing legal staff and/or outside counsel.

Effective team building and mediation skills, along with a collegial and collaborative work style.

Adept at collaborating across divisions, functions, and geography.
Requirements

Experience working in a multinational company.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.

Experience in Intellectual Property is preferred.

Prior experience in the life sciences, medical device, or biotechnology industry is strongly preferred.
