How you'll make an impact in this role:

Medical Malpractice Oversight:
Leads the strategy and investigation for complex professional liability and medical malpractice claims from initial report through final resolution.

Litigation Management:
Directs external defense counsel on case action plans, ensuring all litigation adheres to organizational guidelines and protocols.

Financial & Regulatory Reporting:
Establishes precise loss reserves and executes National Claims Committee reports for significant high-exposure matters.

Direct Settlement Authority:
Negotiates directly with plaintiff attorneys and represents the organization at mediations, trials, and depositions to secure favorable settlements.

Risk Mitigation:
Collaborates with Risk Management to translate claim outcomes into "lessons learned" that improve patient safety and reduce future liability.
Qualifications

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
