Role Description
The Healthcare Compliance Analyst position is a staff consulting position within the Healthcare Transactions and Strategy (HTS) group. HTS is currently seeking a Healthcare Compliance Analyst at the Associate or Senior Associate level.
HTS performs regulatory, reimbursement, data analytics, and compliance auditing for healthcare providers, healthcare payers, and healthcare investors. Compliance audit deliverables include:

Assessment of provider compliance programs

Auditing of billing and coding of clinical documents and claims documents
This position requires a highly motivated problem solver with strong analytical ability, solid organizational skills, and a desire to advance within the organization. The work of a Healthcare Compliance Analyst will involve:

Execution of engagement work streams supporting the compliance team
-
Auditing provider claims and provider clinical documentation, focusing on government programs such as Medicare and Medicaid

Managing and organizing document intake
-
Researching coverage policies and target companies
-
Supporting the development of client deliverables and client presentations
Job duties will include:

Supporting medical record audits to determine coding accuracy and compliant claims submission

Assisting with coding and documentation audit methodology
-
Conducting analysis of audit findings to identify trends/problems in coding and documentation

Monitoring relevant resources and current government compliance and enforcement activity
-
Actively pursuing coding certifications (e.g. CPC)

Developing analyses using transactional and/or financial data
-
Generating client deliverables and contributing to expert reports

Demonstrating creativity and efficient use of relevant software tools

Participating in group practice meetings and contributing to business development initiatives

Prioritizing assignments and responsibilities to meet goals and deadlines
Qualifications

4-year undergraduate degree (e.g., BS, BA)

Preference for candidates certified in medical auditing
-
0 to 2 years of work experience with a demonstrated interest in healthcare industry and healthcare provider billing and coding compliance

Preference for candidates with undergraduate studies in healthcare sector and healthcare administration

Work experience in healthcare coding, billing, and compliance enhances an applicant

Required skills include:

Ability to research national coding and documentation guidelines

Knowledge of healthcare sector and payment systems

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word

Commitment to producing high-quality analysis and attention to detail

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Keen interest in healthcare compliance and policy

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Desire to work within a team environment

Benefits

Associate Salary Range: $70,000 β $90,000 per year

Senior Associate Salary Range: $85,000 β $115,000 per year

Tuition paid by BRG for certified coder certification course within the first 18 months of employment
