As Principal Lawyer, you will:

• Lead by example — running high value, complex litigation.
• Provide strategic and operational direction for junior team members.
• Ensure exceptional client care at every stage of the journey.
• Manage your own caseload.
• Work with senior management to drive the financial and operational success of the team.
• Be a key contributor to business development.
• Nurture and grow relationships with Trade Unions, members, and private clients.
• Raise the team’s profile and help shape its long‑term success.
• Work with senior colleagues within the National Clinical Negligence team to help meet the strategic goals of the firm.

Qualifications

• Experience of running complex clinical negligence litigation.
• Strong supervisory, mentoring, and leadership capability.
• A desire to maximise team performance and continuous improvement.
• Confidence in billing, forecasting, and cost recovery.
• Relevant accreditation (Law Society, AVMA, or equivalent) is beneficial.
