Role Description

Our client is seeking an Intellectual Property Partner to further expand and strengthen its IP platform. The firm is open to partners whose practices focus on:

• Patent prosecution
• Patent litigation
• A combination of both
• IP-driven counseling and strategy

This role is designed for a partner who already has an established practice and wants to grow within a firm that actively supports IP work, rather than treating it as a loss leader or ancillary service. The incoming partner will join a functioning IP group with existing partner depth, fully built docketing systems, and administrative support, allowing immediate focus on client work and practice development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a partner-level IP practice within client practice
• Handle sophisticated patent prosecution matters, patent litigation, or both
• Advise clients on IP strategy, portfolio development, and risk management
• Coordinate U.S. and international patent filings and enforcement strategies
• Collaborate with corporate, M&A, private equity, funds, tax, and real estate partners on IP-driven transactions and diligence
• Contribute to cross-selling and firm-wide client development initiatives
