Role Description

Remote Recruitment is hiring a Legal Secretary to provide high-quality administrative support to a UK-based legal team. Fully remote from South Africa, you'll manage documents, correspondence, and diary coordination with precision and professionalism.

• Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, contracts, and correspondence
• Manage solicitor diaries, schedule client meetings, and coordinate court deadlines
• Open and maintain client files and ensure accurate record-keeping
• Liaise with clients, courts, and third parties on behalf of fee earners
• Handle billing, disbursements, and general administrative tasks

Qualifications

• 2+ years of legal secretarial experience, ideally in a UK law firm
• Excellent typing speed and accuracy with strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word including track changes and document formatting
• Strong written English and professional telephone manner
• Reliable internet and a quiet home workspace

Benefits

• Salary: R25,000 per month
• Full-time, permanent remote position
• Working hours: 09:00–17:00 UK time (11:00–19:00 SAST)
