Role Description

We’re looking for Legal Subject Matter Experts to join our Expert Network to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models using professional legal insight. If you have a legal background, we’ll send you a quick 10- to 15-minute test to assess your skills and suitability for AI tasks. If successful, you’ll be invited to join Prolific’s Legal Projects as a participant, where you’ll get paid to train and evaluate powerful AI models.

Researchers looking for your skills tend to pay up to $100 per hour, depending on skills and experience level. You must be prepared to complete paid tasks that require one hour of uninterrupted work, though many are shorter.

Qualifications

• Legal Background: you have a legal degree, professional qualification (JD, LLB, LLM), or relevant experience as a paralegal or legal analyst.
• Attention to Detail: the ability to review complex documentation and identify key nuances or inaccuracies.
• Critical Thinking: a "legal mind" capable of providing logical, fact-based reasoning to support your answers.
• Reliability: the ability to work independently on ad hoc, remote assignments that fit around your existing commitments.

Requirements

• Document Evaluation: reviewing various professional, regulatory, or B2B documents to verify information accuracy.
• AI Model Guidance: answering specific questions based on document content to help AI models understand technical or formal language.
• Fact-Checking & Validation: ensuring that the outputs generated by AI systems align with professional standards and logical legal frameworks.
• Knowledge Sharing: providing expert feedback to help bridge the gap between human expertise and machine learning.
