Role Description

Join Job Duck as an Intake Specialist and serve as a welcoming first point of contact for individuals seeking guidance with Social Security Disability benefits. In this role, you will:

• Gather accurate medical, employment, and personal information
• Evaluate potential eligibility for SSDI and SSI benefits
• Help prospective clients understand the application and appeals process
• Contribute to an organized onboarding experience
• Handle every interaction with empathy, discretion, and professionalism

You will collaborate with clients, attorneys, and internal staff to support prospective clients throughout the intake process.

Compensation Range: $1,142 to $1,220 USD

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support administrative tasks associated with client and case onboarding
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements and firm policies
• Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, and internal staff
• Schedule consultations and follow up with prospective clients as needed
• Screen potential cases for eligibility under Social Security Disability guidelines
• Conduct detailed intake interviews to collect medical, employment, and personal history
• Explain the disability application and appeals process clearly and compassionately
• Enter, update, and maintain accurate client information in the case management system
• Answer incoming calls and respond to online inquiries from prospective clients

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
• Previous experience in a law firm, client intake, or call center preferred
• Knowledge of Social Security Disability, including SSDI and SSI, is preferred but not required
• Training on Social Security Disability matters will be provided
• Proficiency with computers, data entry, and CRM or case management systems required
• Ability to manage high call volumes and sensitive situations professionally
• Timezone: EST/EDT
• Software and tools: CRM or case management systems and standard computer and data entry tools; no specific platform is identified in the source document
