[Hiring] Legal Document Specialist @the Opportunity

Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Legal Document Specialist for a 100% remote position, working Monday to Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Toronto time (Eastern Time). Candidates may be based in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal, or Quebec. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys creating, editing, proofreading, and formatting documents while providing high-quality support in a fast-paced professional environment.

• Prepare and format legal and business documents
• Proofread materials for accuracy and consistency
• Develop professional presentations
• Provide Microsoft Office support
• Manage document production requests
• Troubleshoot formatting issues
• Prioritize deadlines
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high-quality deliverables

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience as a Document Specialist, Proposal Specialist, Editor, Content Writer, or in a similar role
• Experience involving writing, editing, proofreading, and formatting a variety of written materials, including PowerPoint presentations
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent written communication skills
• Typing speed of 80–100 words per minute
• Legal industry experience is a strong asset; candidates from marketing, publishing, finance, consulting, and other professional backgrounds are encouraged to apply
