[Hiring] Legal Counsel (Regulatory & Licensing) @BTSE

Role Description

This role is dedicated to securing our global footprint by leading license applications and building an ironclad bridge between Legal and our Compliance/AML teams.

• Lead and project-manage applications for VASP, MiCA, MSB, and other regional financial licenses globally.
• Monitor, analyze, and brief the executive team on shifting global crypto regulations (e.g., SEC, CFTC, FCA, MAS developments).
• Partner closely with the Compliance team to translate regulatory requirements into concrete operational policies and audit-ready workflows.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer.
• At least 3 years of experience specializing in financial regulation.
• Deep knowledge of crypto regulatory frameworks, traditional fintech structures, or payment service laws.
• Exceptional relationship-building skills for interacting with regulators.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to risk management.
• Hands-on at work and can be independent in managing complex projects whilst still working as part of a team.
• Great communication skills in both English and Chinese.
• Familiar with crypto use cases.
