[Hiring] Legal Counsel, Regulatory Hub & AI @k-ID

Role Description

We are looking for a driven, intellectually curious, and AI-forward Legal Counsel to join k-ID's legal team in a role dedicated entirely to the RegulatoryHub and the neimo.ai platform. This is not a generalist legal role. You will own the legal quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement of our global children's privacy and online safety database.

This role exists because the RegulatoryHub is a living, breathing product that demands dedicated, expert attention. You will be the person who ensures our database stays ahead of all changes in laws and regulations.

• Regulatory Hub Ownership: Serve as the primary legal custodian of the k-ID Regulatory Hub, ensuring accuracy and ongoing development.
• AI-Augmented Legal Research & Monitoring: Leverage AI-powered tools to monitor and analyze new laws and regulations.
• neimo.ai Product Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and product teams as a core legal stakeholder.
• Client-Facing Legal Quality: Ensure database content is legally accurate, clearly written, and practically useful.
• Internal Knowledge & Standards: Contribute to internal training and the development of legal standards.

Qualifications

• Law degree (LL.B / JD or equivalent) and admission to practice in at least one jurisdiction.
• 4–7 years of post-qualification experience in privacy, data protection, or a closely related legal field.
• Meaningful experience with children's privacy law, including familiarity with GDPR, COPPA, and other relevant frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct rigorous multi-jurisdictional legal research.
• Genuine proficiency with AI tools and enthusiasm for their use in legal work.
• Strong written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong ownership mindset.

Requirements

• Prior in-house experience at a technology company, gaming studio, or digital product company.
• Experience with legal knowledge management systems or regulatory databases.
• Familiarity with age assurance and online safety regulation.
• Relevant privacy certifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM).
• Experience collaborating with engineering or product teams in a legal capacity.
• Fluency in one or more additional languages beyond English.
