Role Description
Property State Management is hiring for its Compliance analyst team. We are a collaborative, innovative team with a can-do attitude that is laser focused on meeting our target profitability, growth and expense goals while developing and inspiring highly talented people.
This position may have in-office requirements depending on candidate location. The level of position offered will be based on skills and experience at manager discretion.

Perform moderate to complex compliance research and regulatory analysis to achieve business objectives in a compliant manner in assigned states or product line.

Oversee projects that require greater expertise, typically for states with higher volume and/or regulatory scrutiny.

Lead projects to ensure the company stays compliant with statutes and regulations.

Provide clear measures of success, ensure stakeholders are informed and deadlines are met.

Know the product compliance requirements (pricing, rating, underwriting and forms) of your assigned states better than anyone else in the company.

Answer compliance related inquiries for your assigned states and ensure compliance with those requirements.

Use various resources to conduct compliance research, compile information, assess compliance of current approaches, and document learnings.

Assist in developing the handling strategy for escalated items and various regulator interactions.

Monitor proposed and enacted legislation and regulation, identify business impacts and work with stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcome for the company.

Drive risk mitigation through creative thinking and problem solving.

Identify and execute process improvement opportunities.

Lead, mentor and assist new personnel to the Department.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative subject (example: Mathematics, Finance, Economics) or Legal/Political Science/Insurance and experience with quantitative analysis preferred.

Approx 4 to 6 years related work experience preferred.

Knowledge of insurance principles and concepts required.

Advanced analytical/problem solving and research skills.

Effective communication skills for writing reports/proposals and making presentations.

Ability to work independently and lead others during projects a must.

Ability to influence management and stakeholders.

Technical and regulatory knowledge of insurance is a plus.
