[Hiring] Interim Project Lawyer @Simmons & Simmons

Role Description

Main purpose of the role:

• Support a large-scale internal restructuring transaction, including asset and liability transfers across multiple business units.
• Work closely with project leads on key legal workstreams (due diligence, repapering, and coordination of advice).
• Conduct and coordinate due diligence across divisions, including preparing trackers, analysing findings, and supporting reporting.
• Assist with contract repapering, including reviewing, updating, and coordinating execution of client and vendor agreements.
• Help manage multi-jurisdictional input, including coordinating with external counsel and tracking foreign law advice.
• Provide general legal and project support, working with internal stakeholders across legal, compliance, finance, and business teams.

Qualifications

• 2–7 PQE qualified lawyer with strong transactional experience.
• Experience in multi-jurisdictional deals and coordinating external counsel.
• Highly organised with strong project management skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
• Proactive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented.
• Financial services background preferred; AI tools exposure a plus.
